The Blue Palms has a ton of stuff going on this week for American Craft Beer Week.  Every night of the week, they’re doing a different featured brewery, with reps and brewers bringing some special beers.  Check our LA Beer Events page for more info, or just head over to the Blue Palms.  Chances are, you’ll walk right in on something awesome.

To celebrate American Craft Beer Week, they are donating $1 from every beer purchased to the Hollywood YMCA, but only if you sign the Declaration of Beer Independence (WARNING: pdf file is large).

To cap off the week, on Saturday the 16th, the Los Angeles Chapter of the Prime Rib Association is presenting a Firestone Walker beer dinner.  Here are some details:

- 16 oz USDA “Prime Grade” Prime Rib marinated in your choice
of Firestone Walker 11th or 12th Anniversary Ale. Baked potato,
au jus, fresh horseradish, and dessert.
- 8 oz Firestone Walker Double Double Barrel Ale
- Firestone Walker 10-11-12 vertical tasting
- Limited to 30 guests
- Cost $50 per person

Also on Saturday, beer geeks The Firkins will be playing a bunch of beer-inspired jams.  Mark, Gloria, and Maricar know their beers, and just like their song, they’re Not Afraid of IBUs.

Everything on the Blue Palms food menu will still be available for those not attending the Firestone Prime-Rib Dinner.  But as for getting to try the Firestone Double Double Barrel Barleywine, you will probably be out of luck.
