Beer Wars in LA Part Two: BEER WARS THE MOVIE

For any beer geeks who’ve had their head in the sand for the last 2 months, Beer Wars LIVE is hitting theaters across the US next Thursday, April 16th at 8pm Eastern/Pacific, 7pm Central, and 6pm Mountain.
This is a one night only movie event, accompanied by a live satellite discussion with Greg Koch, Rhonda Kallman, Charlie Papazian, Maureen Ogle, Todd Alstrom, and rap sensation Sam Calagione.
From the press release:
Live from Los Angeles, an evening dedicated to celebrating the world of craft beer and the American entrepreneurial spirit. With over 95 million beer drinkers, beer is an American icon and is interwoven into our culture, yet the real story of these independent brewers has never been told. Beer Wars introduces the who’s who in beer while following the journey of small, independent brewers who are challenging the corporate behemoths.
For those of us on the west coast, the tape is being delayed three hours, since most people can’t leave work to see a movie at 5pm. But! Since the event is being broadcast live from LA, the actual recording is free and open to any beer geek who can make it to UCLA’s Royce Hall by 4:30pm.
If you think you can get work off early next Thursday, go ahead and RSVP here. Keep in mind, parking is always a bitch in Westwood, and if you park off campus, you’re going to need to walk about 15 minutes to get there. Doors close at 4:40pm, you don’t want to be late to this!

As I said in my RSVP to this event, I was bummed about the tape delay on the westcoast but now, since I work in Westwood, get off at 3:45, and can walk to Royce Hall, I’M STOKED!
