Beer floats are back in a big way. After last year’s Golden State / Scoops victory, this year sees a new crop of challengers; Ladyface Alehouse, Boneyard Bistro, Simmzy’s, and Tony’s Darts Away. Tickets get you admission to the event, 4 beer floats, and the chance to vote for your favorite ice cream / beer combo!
From foodgps.com:
L.A. Beer Float Showdown II begins on Sunday, October 10, at 5:30 PM. Tickets cost $25 in advance via PayPal or $30 cash on the day of the event, including admission and all four beer floats. No matter how you pay, 50% of proceeds will benefit Share our Strength, which has been working to eradicate childhood hunger in the U.S. and Canada since 1988.

Being an equal opportunity beer group, we didn’t want to give the Westside the only chance to mix & match delicious Stone Beers with mouth watering Let’s Be Frank dogs. So this week we take the party east into Glassell Park to visit another LA bastion of incredible beer, Verdugo Bar.
